Ayan Roy

Dr. Ayan Roy is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, Computer Science, and Engineering at Christopher Newport University (CNU). He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Missouri University of Science and Technology (USA), with a focus on cybersecurity in connected vehicles, alongside earlier degrees from St. Xavier's College (India). His research emphasizes analyzing privacy and security threats in connected vehicle systems, social media, and IoT, leveraging machine learning and blockchain applications in cyber-physical systems. Dr. Roy previously worked as a Software Engineer at a startup (2022–2023) and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility, contributing to an LDRD project funded by the US Department of Energy.
