Dr. Insaf Ullah is a Research Fellow in the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering (CSEE) at the University of Essex. His research focuses on cybersecurity frameworks for emerging technologies including UAVs, IoT, and B5G networks. He teaches Computer Security (CE708) and supervises PhD candidate Laila Fhaid N Alqahtani in Computer Science.
Ullah's expertise spans certificateless cryptography, post-quantum security, privacy-preserving schemes, and authentication protocols for heterogeneous networks. His recent work addresses security challenges in intelligent transportation metaverses, industrial IoT, medical systems, and drone swarms.
Research outputs include cryptographic scheme designs for UAV communications, vehicular networks, and edge computing systems, often leveraging hyperelliptic curve cryptography for efficiency in constrained environments.
