Ayah Nuriddin is an Assistant Professor in the History of Medicine at Yale University's School of Medicine. Her research focuses on the histories of eugenics, racial science, scientific racism, and health disparities. She is currently working on her book project, “Seed and Soil: Black Eugenic Thought in the Nineteenth and Twentieth Centuries,” examining African Americans' engagement with racial science and eugenics in pursuit of racial justice. Her work has been supported by the Consortium for the History of Science, Technology, and Medicine and the Alexander Grass Humanities Institute.

Her research has appeared in Historical Studies of Natural Science, Journal of the History of Medicine and Allied Sciences, and The Lancet. She has held positions at Princeton University as a Cotsen Postdoctoral Fellow and Lecturer. Nuriddin was awarded the 2024 Pressman-Burroughs Wellcome Fund Early Career Development Award for her monograph project on Black eugenics.
