Prof. Axel Barwich is a full-time Professor of Technical Event Design at the Technical University of Central Hesse (THM), Department of Management & Communication, since April 2016. He holds multiple leadership roles, including Chairman of Examination Boards for Event Management (B.Sc.) and Strategic Live Communication (M.Sc.), and serves as a Deputy Senate Member.

- Diploma in Event and Production Technology (DHBW Karlsruhe)
- Certified under §20 Explosives Act (stage/grand fireworks)
- VDE-certified specialist for event lightning protection
