Holger Rohn

Prof. Holger Rohn is a Professor at the Technical University of Central Hesse (THM), Department of Business Administration and Economics. He serves as Sustainability Officer for THM and is a member of the Competence Center for Sustainable Engineering and Environmental Systems (ZEuUS). His academic work focuses on sustainable life cycle management, industrial ecology, and resource efficiency.

• Professional Roles: Professor since 2017, Managing Partner in sustainability consulting (2004-2017), Research Associate at TU Darmstadt (1995-1996)

His research spans life cycle assessment, material flow analysis, and environmental cost accounting, with a strong emphasis on sustainable production-consumption systems. He has led projects on reusable packaging, dental sustainability, and biogenic waste recovery.

Recent publications analyze the carbon footprint of digital education, sustainable nutrition, and resource-light economies. He contributes to German policy through the BilRess education roadmap and VDI 4800 guidelines for resource efficiency.

Prof. Rohn coordinates the Sustainable Life Cycle Management major in THM's Industrial Engineering programs and co-leads the Responsibility for the Future lecture series. His work integrates living lab methodologies and user-driven innovation for sustainable development.
