Aurobindo Ghosh

Aurobindo Ghosh is an Assistant Professor of Finance (Education) at the Lee Kong Chian School of Business, Singapore Management University (SMU), where he has been a full-time faculty member since 2011. He also holds affiliations with the School of Economics and the Sim Kee Boon Institute for Financial Economics at SMU. His roles include Program Director and Principal Investigator of the Citi-SMU Financial Literacy Program for Young Adults and former leadership in the Master of Science in Financial Economics program.

His research focuses on financial econometrics, empirical finance, and business statistics, blending theoretical rigor with real-world applications. His work extends into asset pricing, corporate governance, and financial innovation, with a growing emphasis on financial literacy and inclusion in emerging markets.

The recent publications and case studies reflect a strong trend toward applied research in financial inclusion, FinTech, and quantitative methods in finance and economics. His scholarly output spans refereed journal articles, academic book chapters, and impactful business case studies published by SMU, demonstrating a commitment to both academic excellence and practical relevance.

He has served as Program Director for key academic programs and currently leads the Citi-SMU Financial Literacy Program. His case studies on financial inclusion in Vietnam and Bangladesh highlight his engagement with real-world financial challenges in developing economies.

Dr. Ghosh is actively involved in research leadership and educational innovation through the Citi-SMU Financial Literacy Program and the Singapore Index of Inflation Expectations (SInDEx) project, contributing to public policy and financial education in Singapore and beyond.
