معرفی
Aurelie Mousnier is a Lecturer at Queen's University Belfast, affiliated with the School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences and the Wellcome Wolfson Institute for Experimental Medicine. Her research focuses on molecular mechanisms of host-pathogen interactions, particularly rhinovirus replication and antiviral strategies. She holds a PhD from Institut Jacques Monod (Paris) and postdoctoral experience at Imperial College London. Supported by grants from the Medical Research Foundation and Asthma UK, her work aims to identify host proteins critical for viral replication.
Education:
- PhD: Molecular Cell Biology (Institut Jacques Monod, Paris)
- Postdoc: Pathogenic Escherichia coli and Legionella pneumophila (Imperial College London)
- Postdoc: Rhinovirus (Imperial College London)
Research Interests: Host-pathogen interactions, antiviral drug development, rhinovirus biology, chronic respiratory diseases (asthma, COPD), and molecular virology techniques.
Grants/Awards: Research grant from Medical Research Foundation (MRF) & Asthma UK (2016–present).
Labs/Teams: Leads her independent research group at the Wellcome Wolfson Institute. Collaborates internationally on host-pathogen studies.
