Aurélie Broeckerhoff is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Peace and Security at Coventry University. Her work focuses on understanding how conflict dynamics intersect with everyday life, culture, and social relations in post-conflict societies such as Iraq and the occupied Palestinian territory. She employs ethnographic and arts-based methodologies to bridge research, policy, and practice.

Her research explores everyday peacebuilding, social cohesion, and cultural resistance in conflict-affected regions. Recent projects highlight her expertise in intangible cultural heritage, food sovereignty, and consumption systems as tools for resilience.
Aurélie’s publications span topics like post-IS Iraq’s demographic challenges, Palestinian agricultural resistance, and environmental humanitarianism. She is a recipient of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Staff Exchange Fellowship and frequently uses collaborative approaches in her work.
She consults for international organizations such as the United Nations Alliance of Civilisations and has designed policy frameworks for the Kenyan National Cohesion and Integration Commission. Aurélie is actively involved in academic networks, including the 7th European Congress of Qualitative Inquiry and the British International Studies Conference.
