Laura Sulin is a Research Fellow at Coventry University's Research Centre for Peace and Security. She holds a PhD from Coventry University (2022) and advanced degrees from the London School of Economics (MSc, 2012) and the University of Aberdeen (MA, 2011). Her work focuses on gender in international security, intersectionality, and the UN Women, Peace, and Security Agenda (WPS), with a geographic focus on Palestine.
Her research employs participatory methods to document Palestinian cultural heritage in the occupied West Bank, particularly in Masafer Yatta. She has conducted over 100 hours of oral histories with local communities, emphasizing marginalized voices. Current projects include defining intersectional security frameworks and safeguarding intangible cultural heritage through collaborative approaches.
Laura has contributed to multiple externally funded projects, including British Council initiatives. She actively participates in academic conferences, presenting work on participatory research and Palestinian cultural resistance. Her projects emphasize local ownership and gender-sensitive methodologies.
