Audrey Leuba serves as Rector of the University of Geneva (2024–2028), following roles as Dean of the Faculty of Law (2022), Full Professor (2006–present), and Associate Professor at the University of Neuchâtel. Her academic journey includes a law degree from the University of Neuchâtel, an LL.M from Harvard Law School (with SNSF funding), and a doctoral thesis on gender equality and marital labor division.
She specializes in family law, wealth management, and adult protection, with research focusing on elderly care in nursing homes. Her professional memberships include the Swiss Society of Jurists (Chair), Federal Coordination Commission for Family Matters (COFF), and Central Ethics Commission of the Swiss Academy of Medical Sciences (SAMS). She has held leadership roles in civil law departments and university governance.
Her career highlights include passing the New York State bar (1994), SNSF-funded research, and over two decades of legal academia. She currently oversees institutional strategy, human resources, and legal affairs at the University of Geneva.
