Audrey Jamal is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management and Assistant Dean (Strategic Partnerships and Societal Impact) at the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics, University of Guelph. She specializes in community-engaged research focusing on local economic development, sustainability, and urban planning. Jamal’s work emphasizes strategies to build resilient communities through initiatives like community wealth building, newcomer integration, and urban renewal.

Her publications explore topics such as coworking spaces in urban revitalization, pandemic recovery strategies, and business improvement areas. Jamal has secured grants totaling over $100,000 from SSHRC and other funding bodies.
She previously served as Chief of Staff in the University of Guelph’s Office of the President, leading sustainability initiatives that earned the university a STARS Gold rating. Jamal currently sits on the Guelph General Hospital Board of Directors.
