Aude Nassif

Dr. Aude Nassif is a dermatologist and researcher at the Pasteur Institute Medical Center in Paris, where she has worked since 2000. She specializes in Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) research and clinical management, serving as Principal Investigator for the REVE-Pasteur project, a register of HS patients at the Pasteur Institute Medical Center. Dr. Nassif has developed expertise in both the genetic and microbiological aspects of HS, collaborating extensively with researchers from Necker-Enfants Malades hospital.

Her work has led to the development of a new antibiotic strategy targeted according to microbiology of lesions, allowing prolonged remission of HS in combination with surgery. She also investigates hormonal influences and sexual dimorphism in HS as part of the SHINE-HS project and collaborates on metabolomic and immunologic studies of HS lesions.

Dr. Nassif's publication record demonstrates consistent focus on advancing HS understanding and treatment approaches. Her research spans genetic studies, microbiological analyses, clinical treatment strategies, diagnostic improvements, and disease severity assessment. She has contributed to the development of new antibiotic protocols and scoring systems for HS, while investigating paradoxical reactions to biologic agents in HS patients. Her work often involves collaborative efforts across multiple French institutions.

Dr. Nassif has secured multiple research grants related to HS, with the team obtaining 8 academic grants over the past 10 years (3 from SFD, 3 from FRM, 1 PHRC and 1 from Pasteur Institute). She collaborates with several prominent researchers including Dr. Maia Delage Toriel, Dr. Join-Lambert, Dr. Duchatelet, and Pr. Hovnanian. Her laboratory work focuses on understanding the complex interplay between host genetics, microbiome, and immune responses in HS pathogenesis.
