Professor Attila Kardos is an Honorary Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Buckingham, affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. He holds clinical roles as a Consultant Cardiologist at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Nuffield Department of Medicine, University of Oxford. His academic journey includes a medical degree from Albert Szent-Györgyi Medical School (Szeged, Hungary), postdoctoral research fellowships in Oxford, and international recognition through over 90 peer-reviewed publications and 140 conference presentations. His expertise spans clinical cardiology, cardiovascular imaging, and translational research.
Research interests: Clinical epidemiology, clinical trials in heart failure/angina, advanced cardiovascular imaging (echocardiography/CT/MRI), cardiac-oncology, biomarkers, exercise physiology, digital health, and AI-driven diagnostics. He leads the Translational Cardiovascular Research Group (TCRG) at Milton Keynes University Hospital, exploring innovative diagnostic tools and therapeutic strategies.
