Attila Barócsi is an Associate Professor at the Department of Atomic Physics, Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME). His research focuses on acoustic and integrated optics, optoelectronics, environmental technology, and plant fluorescence measurement. He specializes in developing optical measurement systems and has contributed to advancements in phytoremediation and chlorophyll fluorescence sensing technologies.
Dr. Barócsi’s work includes optimizing acousto-optic devices for applications like light deflection and quantum photonics. He has pioneered portable fluorosensors for crop monitoring and environmental assessments. His interdisciplinary projects span quantum optics, biophysics, and ecotoxicology.
Notable contributions include modeling light propagation in anisotropic media and developing algorithms for acousto-optic interactions. His recent publications explore topics such as drought stress effects on plants, mycotoxin detection, and quantum interference phenomena.
