Athanassios Tzavaras is a Professor of Applied Mathematics at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), part of the Computer, Electrical and Mathematical Sciences and Engineering Division. He holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Brown University (1985) and has held academic positions at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, University of Maryland, University of Crete, and visiting roles at Stanford, École Polytechnique, and others.
