Astrid Wirth

Astrid Wirth serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Education within the Faculty of Philosophy and Education. Her work centers on early childhood development, with emphasis on family learning environments and academic competency formation in preschool settings.

Her research spans critical domains including language acquisition mechanisms, phonological awareness development, and numeracy skill building in toddlers and preschoolers. She investigates how migration backgrounds influence educational outcomes and examines digital media integration in early learning contexts, particularly focusing on disparities between STEM and non-STEM family engagement.
