Assaf Meydani

Assaf Meydani is a Professor and lawyer affiliated with the School of Government and Society at the Academic College of Tel Aviv, Yaffo, Israel. He serves as an Academic Visitor at the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies. His roles include former Dean of the School of Government and Society and President of the Israeli Political Science Association. Currently, he is a member of the 14th Council for Higher Education in Israel.

His research focuses on public policy, politics and law, human rights, and political economy. Meydani has authored influential books including The Anatomy of Human Rights in Israel (2014) and The Israeli Supreme Court and the Human Rights Revolution (2011), which explore judicial dynamics and constitutional frameworks. His work integrates comparative perspectives, particularly in analyzing political transformations and institutional change.
