Ashruta Acharya is a Graduate Lecturer in the Department of Economics at George Mason University and concurrently a PhD Fellow at the Mercatus Center. She is pursuing a third-year PhD in Economics while holding teaching responsibilities. Her research focuses on economic history, institutional development, and monetary policy frameworks.
Education:
- BBA in Economics, Wichita State University
- MA in Economics, Wichita State University
Her research interests emphasize historical economic patterns, institutional impacts on growth, and monetary policy mechanisms. She actively contributes to academic communities through her role as founding President of the Society of Nepali Women in Economics.
Affiliations include the Mercatus Center and the Department of Economics at George Mason University. She is based at Buchanan Hall, Room D150.
