David M Levy is a Professor in the Department of Economics at George Mason University. His research focuses on econometrics, the history of economic thought, and political economy. He has co-authored influential works like The Vanity of the Philosopher (2005) and Economic Ideas of Ordinary People (1991), the latter republished 20 years after its initial release. Levy’s work with Sandra J. Peart explores concepts like 'analytical egalitarianism' and 'sympathetic bias in estimation.' He co-directs the Summer Institute for the Preservation of the History of Economics and was honored as a Distinguished Fellow of the History of Economics Society in 2012.
