Ashley Shamos is a Nursing Instructor at Saint Joseph's College of Maine. She holds an MS in Neonatal Nurse Practitioner from Stony Brook University School of Nursing and a BSN from Saint Joseph's College of Maine. Her professional focus lies in Neonatal and Pediatric healthcare, with extensive experience in NICU and PICU settings. She currently teaches courses in Maternal Newborn Health, Nursing Care of Children, and Community Health Nursing.
Affiliations include Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Instructor, Vermont Oxford Network Member, and NANN Member. She has presented posters at the VON Annual Quality Congress (2017–2019). Prior to academia, she worked as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner at Maine Medical Center’s NICU and as an RN in Pediatric Intensive Care at Tufts Medical Center. She resides near the SJC campus with her husband and three daughters, actively engaging in outdoor activities in the Sebago Lake region.
