Lindsay Snyder

Lindsay Snyder is a Nursing Instructor at Saint Joseph's College (Maine) in the Department of Nursing. She holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and a Bachelor of Arts in Nursing (BAN) from Saint Olaf College. Her clinical career included roles as a Registered Nurse (RN) and later a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in urban hospitals, assisted living facilities, and post-acute rehabilitation settings. She transitioned to academia after relocating to Maine with her family, where she now focuses on nursing education and mentoring students.

Her professional certifications include ANCC Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner certification and affiliation with the American Holistic Nurse Credentialing Corporation (AHNCC). Her expertise spans adult-gerontology primary care, orthopedic nursing, and holistic care practices.

Before joining SJC, Lindsay worked in Minnesota hospitals, including roles as an RN representative on a hospital board and an NP collaborating with orthopedic surgeons. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes supporting students through the challenges and rewards of nursing, informed by her decade-long clinical experience.
