Ashley Pieroni serves as a Lecturer in the Exercise Science department at Franklin College since 2024, teaching core courses including Exercise Physiology and Motor Learning while maintaining active clinical practice as a licensed physical therapist in Indiana.
Her academic foundation includes:
- Bachelor's of Kinesiology from Indiana University, earned as a student-athlete competing in high jump for IU's track and field team
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Hanover College
Her professional expertise bridges academic instruction with applied sports science, specializing in strength and conditioning methodologies for diverse athletic populations. Her research interests emphasize practical applications of motor learning principles in athletic training and rehabilitation contexts, informed by her dual perspective as an educator and clinician.
Dr. Pieroni actively serves as strength and conditioning coach for 11 Franklin College athletic programs: men's and women's track and field, cross country, women's lacrosse, men's and women's tennis, swimming and diving, and eSports, demonstrating exceptional cross-sport applicability of her exercise science expertise.
