Ashley N.D. Meyer

Ashley N.D. Meyer, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine, affiliated with the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center. She serves as Co-Director of the VA Patient Safety Center of Inquiry- Diagnosis Improvement Safety Center (DISCovery) and works within the Center for Innovations in Quality, Effectiveness and Safety (IQuESt).

Dr. Meyer's research focuses on physician cognition in diagnostic decision-making, diagnostic error reduction, and the role of Health Information Technology in clinical accuracy. Her work emphasizes metacognitive strategies and systems improvements in healthcare delivery.
