Dr. Ashley Metz is an Assistant Professor at the Tilburg School of Social and Behavioral Sciences, Department of Organization Studies, Tilburg University. Her work bridges digital transformation, organizational theory, and societal impact, with a focus on healthcare and sustainable development.
- Education: BA from Northwestern University, MBA from IESE Business School, PhD from the Hertie School of Governance
- Visiting researcher at Copenhagen Business School and Stanford University during her PhD
Research Interests center on hybrid organizations, institutional change, and the interplay between technology and society. Her theoretical framework includes institutional theory, professions, and field dynamics, with applied work in digital health, pandemic response, and SDG implementation.
Recent Publications highlight trends in hybrid organization learning, digital health governance, and cross-national pandemic technology adoption. Key themes include institutional work, foresight methodologies, and reconciling competing logics in sustainable development.
