Ashley Langer is a Professor of Economics at the University of Arizona and a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research. She earned her PhD in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and previously held positions at the University of Michigan and the Brookings Institution.

Notable awards include the Ralph C. d’Arge and Allen V. Kneese Award for her 2022 paper on dynamic subsidies.
At Arizona, she teaches graduate-level Empirical Environmental and Energy Economics, undergraduate Environmental Economics, and MBA Business Strategy courses. Her prior teaching at the University of Michigan included Energy and Environmental Policy, and Government Regulation of Industry and the Environment.
