His research employs advanced econometric methods to analyze pollution mortality links using natural experiments, solar incentive policies across income groups, and coal plant retirement drivers in U.S. energy markets. He examines critical intersections between environmental regulation, international trade, and climate policy.
Awards:
- John and Wanda Wisecarver Faculty Research Fellowship
Prior to joining UT Knoxville in 2010, Holladay was a post-doctoral fellow at NYU School of Law's Institute for Policy Integrity. His interdisciplinary background in economics and computer science informs his methodological approach, combining computational modeling with empirical analysis to address pressing energy transition challenges.
