Ashley Kalinski

Ashley Kalinski, Ph.D., is a Research Fellow in the Giger Lab within the Department of Cell and Developmental Biology at the University of Michigan Medical School. Her research focuses on understanding the mechanisms that enable or prevent neuronal repair after traumatic injury, particularly how axonal compartments activate local signaling programs through mRNA translation to initiate regeneration responses.

She was offered an Assistant Professor position at Ball State University in 2020, indicating a transition from her previous research roles to an academic faculty position.
