Ashley Havlicak is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Emphasis Coordinator for the Community Health Promotion (CHP) program at Boise State University's School of Public and Population Health. She earned her Bachelor’s in Health Education and Promotion and Master’s in Public Health from Boise State and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Public and Population Health Leadership. Her expertise bridges academic and practical public health, with a focus on youth mental health, policy advocacy, and rural health equity.
Her career includes roles as Managing Editor for the Journal of School Health, Project Manager for a $5.7M rural schools research initiative, and Program Director of the Transforming Communities Initiative. She advocates for policy changes in breastfeeding protections and tobacco legislation, emphasizing systems-level interventions.
Her research emphasizes school-based behavioral supports, preventive measures in education, and addressing social determinants of health. Ashley is committed to fostering inclusive learning environments and mentoring future public health leaders through evidence-based approaches and systemic change.
