Flutist Ashley Addington is a dynamic educator and performer affiliated with multiple institutions. She serves as Associate Professor at the Berklee School of Music, Flute Lecturer at University of Massachusetts Boston, and teaches at Milton Academy, Concord Academy, and Tufts University. Her career balances teaching, performance, and advocacy for new music.
Ashley earned her MM and BM in Flute Performance from the Butler School of Music at the University of Texas at Austin, studying with Marianne Gedigian and Robert Willoughby.
Her research and professional activities focus on:
- Contemporary flute repertoire and new music advocacy
- Performance pedagogy for all levels of musicians
- Chamber music collaboration
- Integration of technology in music education
