Ashleigh Thatcher is a Lecturer in Forensic Psychology at Newman University, currently pursuing a PhD in Forensic Psychology. Her research focuses on psychopathy’s role in sexual coercion within intimate partner relationships, employing quantitative methods and statistical analysis. She collaborates with researchers across institutions and has contributed to policy discussions through commentaries on UK sentencing laws.
Administratively, she designs and delivers bespoke modules for the BSc Forensic Psychology program. Her teaching spans core psychology subjects and forensic specializations. Recent scholarly activities include conference presentations at the European Association of Psychology and Law (2023) and the APE Conference (2022). Key publications address moderation effects of psychopathy on sexual coercion and stigmatizing language in legal contexts.
