Ashiwel Undieh

Ashiwel Undieh serves as a Professor in the Department of Neuroscience and Pharmacology at the CUNY School of Medicine, City University of New York, with additional appointments in Molecular, Cellular and Biomedical Sciences. He directs the Neuromedications Innovation Lab, maintaining active offices at Marshak 918 and 210D Harris Hall.

His research integrates Neuropharmacology, Signal Transduction, and Epigenetics to investigate Neuroplasticity and Neuroregeneration mechanisms, with direct applications in Addiction Prevention, Depression Prediction and Therapy, and Spinal Cord Injury repair. This work targets molecular pathways for developing novel neurotherapeutics addressing neurological disorders and neural repair.

As Head of the Neuromedications Innovation Lab, Dr. Undieh oversees research initiatives focused on translating neuropharmacological discoveries into clinical applications for conditions including addiction, depression, and spinal cord trauma.
