Ashim K. Datta is a Professor in the Department of Biological and Environmental Engineering at Cornell University. His primary research interests include food physics modeling, microwave processing, climate-smart agriculture, and biomedical engineering applications such as bioartificial pancreas design. He leads a research group focused on developing frameworks for computer-aided food engineering, leveraging multiphase porous media models and computational tools to enhance food safety, quality, and resource efficiency.
