Supriyo Datta is the Thomas Duncan Distinguished Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University, affiliated with the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. His work bridges physics and computing, focusing on nanoscale devices and quantum phenomena. He pioneered spintronics and proposed spin transistors, foundational to modern spin-based electronics. His research on negative capacitance aims to extend Moore’s Law, while recent work explores probabilistic computing via p-bits, addressing complex problems at room temperature.
