Asher Y. Rosinger is an Associate Professor of Biobehavioral Health at Pennsylvania State University, leading the Water, Health and Nutrition Lab and serving as Program Area Leader for Environmental Health Sciences. He is currently on sabbatical (2024-2025). His research focuses on human adaptation to environmental changes, particularly water intake, hydration, and water insecurity's health impacts across diverse populations, including the Tsimane’ of Bolivia and Daasanach of Kenya. Rosinger holds a PhD in Anthropology from the University of Georgia (2015) and previously served as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer at the CDC. His work bridges anthropology, epidemiology, and public health, addressing global challenges like water scarcity and lifestyle transitions.
