Asher Wolinsky is the Gordon Fulcher Professor of Economics at Northwestern University's Weinberg College of Arts & Sciences. His research focuses on microeconomic theory and industrial organization, with emphasis on markets under imperfect competition and information asymmetry. He holds a PhD from Stanford University (1980).
He is a Fellow of the Econometric Society and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. His work has explored auction design, strategic market behavior, and institutional mechanisms.
