Ashenafi S. Cherkos is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Population and Community Health at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. His expertise focuses on applying epidemiological methods to maternal and child health, infectious diseases, and public health surveillance. He holds a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Washington, alongside advanced degrees from Mekelle University and Hawassa University in Ethiopia.
