Asger Bjørn Jørgensen is an Assistant Professor at AAU Energy, Aalborg University, and Head of the Center of Digitalized Electronics (CoDE). He holds M.Sc. (2016) and Ph.D. (2019) degrees in energy engineering from Aalborg University, with postgraduate and visiting research experiences at UNSW (Australia) and North Carolina State University (USA). His research focuses on power module packaging, wide bandgap semiconductors, and digital design using multi-physics simulation. He leads projects like CoDE (funded by Poul Due Jensen Foundation) and LIME (Innovation Fund Denmark), advancing power electronics for sustainable energy systems.
Key research interests include SiC MOSFET packaging, thermal management, and medium-voltage applications. He has received the 2020 EPE Outstanding Young EPE Member Award and co-authored over 70 publications. His work contributes to UN SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure). Projects like PtXKonvertering and Modular Power Converter highlight his focus on industrial and sustainable energy solutions.
Recent publications explore topics such as SiC MOSFET modeling, partial discharge analysis, and medium-voltage power stacks. He actively participates in conferences, workshops, and media outreach to disseminate research findings and promote the green energy transition.
