معرفی
Dr. Arzu Uyar is a Lecturer in the Department of Bioengineering at Izmir Institute of Technology. She holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Bogazici University (2014) and has held postdoctoral positions at Karolinska Institutet (2015) and Michigan State University (2016-2021).
- PhD in Chemical Engineering, Bogazici University (2014)
- MSc in Chemical Engineering, Bogazici University (2008)
- BSc in Chemical Engineering, Istanbul University (2004)
Her research focuses on computational methods for studying biomolecular interactions, including protein-ligand (drug) and protein-virus interactions, allosteric regulation, molecular dynamics simulations, enhanced sampling techniques, coarse-grained modeling, molecular docking, and virtual screening. She integrates artificial intelligence and machine learning approaches into her computational studies.
Dr. Uyar's recent work involves rational enzyme design, specifically engineering thermophilic CYP119 for steroid hydroxylation applications using computational mutagenesis and docking screening.
