Arwyn Jones

Arwyn Jones is a Professor of Membrane Traffic and Drug Delivery at Cardiff University's School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Director of Research & Engagement. He holds a PhD in protein biochemistry from Birkbeck College, University of London, with postdoctoral training at the University of Liverpool and Harvard University. His research focuses on endocytic pathways' role in drug delivery, cell-penetrating peptides, and nanomedicine. He leads projects on improving mRNA delivery via lipid nanoparticles and targeting endosomal trafficking for cancer therapies. Active in public engagement, Jones organizes science exhibitions at the National Eisteddfod of Wales and has authored over 150 publications. His work integrates cell biology, pharmacology, and nanotechnology to advance therapeutic delivery systems.
