Elin Esbjörner Winters

Elin Esbjörner Winters is an Associate Professor in Chemical Biology at Chalmers University of Technology. Her research focuses on protein aggregation mechanisms and amyloid formation in neurodegenerative diseases, utilizing in vitro techniques, cell biology, and advanced fluorescence microscopy. She investigates cellular interactions with protein aggregates, mechanisms of uptake and transport, and the impact of biological/pharmacological agents on aggregation. As a group leader in FoRmulaEx, she collaborates with chemists and physicists to develop nucleotide-based drugs at the molecular level.
