Arshia Cont

Arshia Cont is a researcher at IRCAM (Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique/Musique) in Paris, serving as head of the MuTant project team—a collaborative initiative between IRCAM, CNRS, and Inria—and director of the Research/Creation Interfaces department since 2012. He additionally functions as a computer music producer, overseeing creations for composers Marco Stroppa and Jonathan Harvey while revitalizing instrumental repertoires for real-time computer systems.

His academic foundation includes a PhD jointly awarded by the University of California, San Diego and Université Pierre et Marie Curie (UPMC, now Sorbonne University) in 2008, which earned the prestigious Specif/Gilles Kahn prize from the French Academy of Sciences.
