Arpita Bose is an Associate Professor at the School of Psychology and Clinical Languages, University of Reading. As a clinically trained Speech-Language Therapist, she combines research expertise in aphasia and neurogenic disorders with a multidisciplinary focus on language production mechanisms in clinical and healthy populations.
- Primary research areas: aphasia, bilingual language processing, dementia diagnostics, speech motor and cognitive control

- Language-cognition-motor interfaces in aphasia
- Neural basis of multilingual language processing
- Cross-linguistic speech analysis for dementia markers
- Therapeutic cueing mechanisms in aphasia treatment
Current collaborations span clinical and academic institutions, with funding from British Academy, Wellcome Trust, NHS Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust, and Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario. She supervises MSci, MSc, and PhD students while leading interdisciplinary research through the Language and Cognition Centre for Integrative Neuroscience and Neurodynamics.
