Dr Arpana Verma is a Professor at the University of Manchester, serving as Head of the Division of Population Health, Health Services Research and Primary Care. She is Director of the Manchester Urban Collaboration on Health (MUCH), a WHO Collaborating Centre, and an honorary Consultant in Public Health at Public Health England. Her work focuses on addressing urban health challenges through data linkage and interdisciplinary research.
- Research Leadership: Principal Investigator for the European Urban Health Indicator System (EURO-URHIS 2) under FP7 and EU grants on aging in cities.
- Education: Programme Director for the Masters in Public Health and MRes in Public Health/Primary Care online/blended courses.
- Global Collaboration: President of the European Public Health Association's Urban Health section and WHO expert contributing to health indicator frameworks.
