Prof. Arno van der Vlist is a Full Professor of Real Estate Development at the University of Groningen's Faculty of Spatial Sciences. He holds joint roles as Executive Board member of the Amsterdam School of Real Estate and Visiting Professor at VU Amsterdam and the University of Central Florida. His academic career includes a PhD in Economics from VU University Amsterdam (2001) and extensive industry experience in real estate.

Research Interests: Focuses on real estate economics, public housing policy, urban development, and climate adaptation. His work explores agglomeration benefits, housing market dynamics, and policy impacts. Current projects include studies on public housing allocation mechanisms, foreclosure effects, and retail agglomeration.
