Arne Stinchcombe is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Ottawa and an Investigator at the Bruyère Research Institute (BRI). He leads the Healthy Aging Research Program (HARP), which focuses on advancing understanding of healthy aging through interdisciplinary research.
His research centers on three interconnected themes:
- Social determinants and diverse identities in aging
- Psychosocial correlates of cognition
- Enhanced community mobility
Although a list of recent publications was referenced via ResearchGate, access was restricted, preventing detailed analysis of article trends. However, the overall research direction emphasizes psychological, social, and environmental factors influencing aging.
Dr. Stinchcombe is actively supervising graduate students, including Allie Grady, and welcomes new students interested in healthy aging research. While no specific grants are mentioned, his affiliations with BRI and leadership of HARP suggest active research funding and collaboration.
He directs the Healthy Aging Research Program (HARP), a research team dedicated to improving outcomes for older adults through evidence-based interventions and policy-relevant findings.
