Dr. Vivian Welch is an Associate Professor at the School of Epidemiology and Public Health, University of Ottawa, and Deputy Director of the Centre for Global Health at the Bruyère Research Institute. She holds an Applied Public Health Chair (CIHR/PHAC, 2024–2029) focused on social prescribing for healthy ageing and serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Campbell Collaboration. Her research bridges systematic review methodology, health equity, and global health, emphasizing stakeholder collaboration.

Research Interests: Vivian’s work centers on evidence synthesis for health equity, healthy ageing, and global health. She leads initiatives to integrate equity into guideline development (e.g., GRADE Working Group) and promotes methodological rigor in systematic reviews. Her projects address functional ability in older adults, social media interventions for behavior change, and WHO guideline equity analysis.
Publications: Her recent work highlights trends in functional outcomes for older adults, equity-focused policy frameworks, and methodological standards for systematic reviews. These contributions advance global health equity through robust evidence synthesis and stakeholder engagement.
