Annie Robitaille is an Assistant Professor in the Interdisciplinary School of Health Sciences at the University of Ottawa, holding the Research Chair in Frailty-Informed Care at The Perley and Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre. Her work focuses on aging-related processes, frailty, dementia care, and caregiving dynamics. She completed her PhD in Psychology at the University of Ottawa (2010), followed by postdoctoral research at the University of Victoria and Bruyère Research Institute.

Her research integrates longitudinal studies to address aging-related questions, particularly in frailty, dementia care, and responsive behaviors. Methodologically, she specializes in multivariate growth models and coordinated multi-study analyses.
Publications highlight her focus on cognitive aging, physical activity's role in mental health, and caregiver support systems. She collaborates with networks like the Integrative Analysis of Longitudinal Studies on Aging and Dementia (IALSA). Current projects explore dementia-friendly communities, intergenerational volunteering, and pandemic-related resilience in older populations.
Her work emphasizes translational research to inform policy and improve care delivery in long-term settings.
