Arndt Allhorn

Arndt Allhorn is a Lecturer and Research Assistant in the Data Science and Text-based Information Systems (DATEXIS) group at Beuth University of Applied Sciences Berlin. Specializing in business intelligence and data analytics, his research focuses on NLP applications for hate speech detection using deep learning and transfer learning approaches.

As part of the BMBF-funded NOHATE project, Allhorn develops solutions for detecting hate speech in online discussions through deep learning techniques, which also formed the topic of his Master's thesis in Data Science. His professional background includes extensive industry experience as a Senior Consultant implementing data warehouse projects for automotive sector clients.

Allhorn bridges academic research with practical applications, combining expertise in data analytics with NLP techniques to address societal challenges. His teaching and research interests include deep learning architectures for text analysis, transfer learning applications, and developing scalable detection systems for harmful online content.
