Akshat Gupta

Akshat Gupta is a Master's student in Data Science at Beuth University of Applied Sciences and serves as a research assistant at the Data Science and Text-based Information Systems (DATEXIS) group. He previously spent four years at Latenview Analytics in India as a Business Analyst, focusing on Supply Chain and Web Analytics. Currently, he collaborates with PhD student Benjamin Winter on applying transformer models in NLP. His research interests span NLP, machine learning, and text-based systems, with projects including INDREX (in-database text mining) and TASTY (interactive entity linking). He also contributes to healthcare NLP applications like clinical outcome prediction and Smart-MD systems. Beyond academia, Akshat enjoys strategy games like DotA and cooking spicy Indian cuisine.
