Arnaud Kurze

Arnaud Kurze is an Adjunct Associate Professor at New York University and Associate Professor at Montclair State University, with concurrent appointment as a Global Fellow at the Woodrow Wilson Center since 2016. His academic work focuses on transitional justice mechanisms, social movements, and human rights in post-conflict societies.

Education includes:

• Ph.D. in Political Science from George Mason University
• M.A. in Governance and Political Coordination from FernUniversität Hagen (Germany)
• B.A. in Political Science with minor in International Relations from Sciences Po (France)

Research explores Post-Arab Spring transitions, Southeast European politics, and innovative approaches to transitional justice through art and youth engagement. His ongoing project 'Youth, Art & Resilience' examines alternative justice spaces addressing human rights abuses in post-conflict regions through artistic expression and social movements.

Publications demonstrate consistent focus on justice mechanisms in post-conflict societies, particularly in the Balkans and North Africa, with recurring themes of memory politics, grassroots activism, and legal empowerment across spatial and temporal contexts.
